An idea of УMap Points" project appeared several years ago. In fact, our project is based onto expeditions, discoveries and adventures have been executed by our team for recent 15 field seasons. УMap PointsФ is not a typical tourism: being the professional field-researches, we aren't traveling aimlessly or "just for fun". Each our trip has got its own aim and objectives. It could be field ecological researches and bio-diversity estimation, movie-making and wildlife photographing. Mainly, we are focused on biological researches and archeological explorations, ethnography and discovering of cultural and religious peculiarities of the folks and nations. The results of our travels are photos and video, various materials for papers and presentations, TV and radio- programs, exhibitions. We love Russia and have worked in many remote and distant places of our Motherland. But also, we are traveling worldwide, and have got an experience of international expeditions and field projects.

We invite you to join our team. We will be glad to work with professional researchers and beginners, post-graduators and students, photographers and cameramen. We are ready for discussing and realizing every interesting idea. We are also looking for sponsors interested in equipmentТs testing and productТs advertising.

We know: a lot of places in the world we have never been. We are sure: it is possible to mark new Map Point. So, letТs do it together!

Who are we? There are three of us Ц this is the core of the project:

Denis V. Bogomolov - a head of the project, Ph.D. in ecology; journalist and wildlife photographer.

Boris N. Ignatenko - cameraman of the project; journalist and professional field researcher.

Alexander S. Galaktionov - professional photo-journalist, ornithologist and conservationist.
